Drink Your Food


I believe it was David Wolfe that said to "Drink your food". Sounds weird but all of those healthy, green, vitamin packed veggies can be packed and blended into a yummy smoothie! Just need to add a couple more ingredients to make it a SUPERfood smoothie (SFS). Today, when I got off work, I came home and made another one of my routine SFS. I bought a large quantity of the ingredients so I'm going to be making these same smoothies until I run dry.








It's sad to say but I haven't gone on a run in probablly over a month. Yuckk! I have done yoga but haven't gone out to run. Today around 4 I got this burst of energy and decided to go out! I threw on my tennies and started running right away. I was going at a pretty fast rate for not going in a while. It was one of the most beautiful days out. Luckily I live next to the ocean and get to run along side the beautiful, crashing waves. Heaven is an understatement of how breathtaking it was out today. I wish I would have had my camera!! Who knew it was going to be that pretty out in the middle of December! There were tons of surfers out which definitely added to the scenery :)
It was really tough near the end of the run. I went a couple miles and kept increasing the pace. The end stretch was about 200 meters and I sprinted the whole thing. The last couple steps I almost collapsed  slowed down. Great run, but I have a feeling I'm going to be pretty sore in the morning.

Where do you live that you can go running in warm weather in December and see surfers? I want to move there!!
