Partial Impact Woman

Alright alright so I took this off from 'No Impact Man', which is an incredible man + wife and child who challenge themselves to create absolutely no harmful impact on the world. 365 days of an extreme experiment. Partial Impact woman is my take on becoming less impactful on the world. Trying to reduce my carbon footprint. Check out the trailer to 'No Impact Man'

"No car. No subway. No elevators. No TV, no taxis, no air conditioning, no newspapers or magazines, no shopping for new clothes, no refrigerator, no disposable diapers, no food that wasn't produced within 250 miles of their home, no coffee, no toilet paper -- and a worm-filled compost box in the kitchen."

Imagine that. Well it's an incredibly tough challenge to do but it would be well worth it. You don't need to go to extremes but every little thing will help.

For example:
  • Get 'chico bags' or any other kind of reusable bag when you go to the grocery store or farmers market. Here are 6 reasons to not use plastic bags.
  • Turn off the lights when you don't need them
  • Unplug appliances when not in use (Cell phone Charger!)
  • Walk or ride your bike to work or school instead of driving.
  • Recycle!!!
  • Wrap xmas gifts with newspaper
Start reducing your carbon footprint!
